Ecover Global is proud to announce a $15,000 donation to the AdventHealth Carrollwood Foundation for their Healing Garden project. The new Garden is expected to open in the fall and will include a water feature, seating areas, Florida-friendly landscaping, lighting, a gazebo, a brick courtyard and concrete pathways.
The new Garden will provide patients, employees and visitors a space to use for enjoyment, relaxation and meditation. Ecover Global’s donation will go directly to help furnish the new space.
Support for this project was extremely important to the team at Ecover Global. Ben Sever, Ecover’s Chairman and CEO, sits on the AdventHealth Carrollwood Foundation Board of Directors. In this position, he lends his technical and entrepreneurial experience to help AdventHealth in their mission to provide the best possible patient care.
“Being a Tampa native, I know the focus that AdventHealth puts on whole-person health,” said Ben Sever, Chairman and CEO of Ecover Global. “We want to be a part of helping to create a comfortable space for healthcare workers and patients alike to enjoy some fresh air and heal. We know that goes a long way towards overall patient experience and patient satisfaction.”
Ben and his team have experience in all facets of patient care ranging from general health to elective plastic surgery. Ecover Global’s HIPAA-compliant patient engagement platform improves patient outcomes with real-time chat, photo and video patient communication, automated alerts, digitized patient instructions, a resource library and social media and appointment integration. The platform turns a patient’s phone into a digital handbook during the entire lifecycle of their medical journey.
Ecover Global is committed to not only revolutionizing patient engagement, but also empowering medical research efforts, student development and community collaboration. Within each of those sectors, Ben and his team choose organizations and partners to support. Since the company’s inception in 2019, other community involvement and support includes sponsorship of the American Heart Association’s 2020 Tampa Bay Heart Ball, support of Cure Kids’ Cancer NOW! Foundation and development of student innovators.
The company’s goal is to impact the healthcare industry and local community in a meaningful way for years to come.
“We are honored to have Ecover Global’s support of this important project at AdventHealth Carrollwood, said Tony Laforgia, Executive Director of AdventHealth Carrollwood Foundation. “There is a clear association between healing and connecting with the outdoors. Our new healing garden will provide a serene and calming environment for our patients, employees, and caregivers for years to come. We are so grateful to the Ecover Global team for assisting us in making that possible.”
The AdventHealth Foundation’s mission is to provide whole-person, compassionate care to patients and their families. This is accomplished by building new facilities, funding leading-edge technology, developing groundbreaking ways of treating illness and disease, providing complete care that heals what hurts, easing minds and lifting spirts. The goal is to help more people live their best, most vibrant lives.
In addition to being open to employees, patients and their visitors, the Foundation also hopes the Healing Garden will be used to host employee events such as presentations and awards. Each month AdventHealth presents a DAISY Award to an extraordinary nurse. DAISY is an international program that celebrates extraordinary clinic skill and compassionate care. Also, a Starfish Award is presented to an extraordinary employee each month. The Hospital hopes that the Healing Garden becomes the new backdrop for these and other prestigious awards.
