Each year the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce selects local businesses and evaluates them based on financial success, community involvement and ethical business practices. The award, in its 40th year, is one of the most rigorous small business awards programs in the US.
Companies that are nominated must complete an extensive application that includes information about their corporate philosophy, financials, innovation, obstacles and community involvement. Based on application responses, semi-finalists were chosen and invited to answer questions live in front of a panel of judges in order to choose finalists. Ecover’s Chairman and CEO Ben Sever, CTO Ryan Budden and Head of Customer Success Karly Sowerwine presented.
Awards are presented in three categories based on number of employees, and a fourth category honoring a startup company. Ecover Global is proud to have been selected as a 2020 finalist for the startup category.
“We could not be more honored to have been named a finalist,” said Sever. “We would like to thank our innovative employees, our loyal partners and the Tampa Bay Chamber for this honor. We are competing against some other very notable local Tampa businesses.”
Winners will be announced on November 12th at Armature Works. For tickets, visit the Chamber’s website. For more information on the Small Business of the Year Awards, visit the Tampa Bay Chamber’s Small Business of the Year webpage.
