Ecover Global is proud to commit to a two-year table sponsorship of the American Heart Association’s Tampa Bay Heart Ball. The Tampa Bay Heart Ball is more than just an event, it’s a symbol of a passionate community that is committed to saving and improving lives from heart disease and stroke. This work is especially critical amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Those with cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or who have suffered a stroke are more susceptible to the effects of COVID-19.
The American Heart Association (AHA) recently invested $2.5 million to investigate the cardiovascular implications of the Coronavirus. This investment took the form of a rapid research fund aimed at fast-tracking scientific research to better understand the disease and its interaction with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
Beyond this, the AHA has long supported scientific research in the fight against heart disease and stroke. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second. The research the AHA has funded furthers healthcare communication among the country’s brightest researchers, helping more and more people survive heart disease and stroke.
“We are extremely proud to support the American Heart Association Tampa Bay,” said Ben Sever, Chairman and CEO of Ecover Global. “Their work improves patient outcomes by accelerating the results of scientific research.”
The AHA’s focus on improving patient outcomes aligns with that of Ecover Global’s. EcoverGlobal’s HIPAA-compliant patient engagement platform improves patient outcomes with real-time chat, photo and video patient communication, automated alerts, digitized patient instructions, a resource library and social media and appointment integrations. Therefore, support of the AHA was extremely important to the team at Ecover Global.
A “Virtual Ball”
Because of the pandemic, this year’s Tampa Bay Heart Ball will be a virtual event. Some of the most prominent leaders from the corporate, medical, educational and social communities from the greater Tampa Bay area will gather “virtually” from the comfort of their homes on Saturday, May 30. Gowns, tuxedos and slippers are optional! The event will feature silent and live auctions and special appearances from local leaders, and will honor survivors in the Tampa Bay Community.
“We’re thrilled that Ecover Global has come alongside the American Heart Association to support our critical mission, especially during this unprecedented time, said Amanda Palumbo Executive Director of the American Heart Association. “We know that those individuals living with cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure or who have experienced a stroke are at greater risk for the vulnerable effects of COVID-19. Sponsors like Ecover Global enable us to respond quickly to fast-tracking relevant research and to provide essential support to healthcare workers, families, workplaces and schools that focus on healthy living.
EcoverGlobal’s team members and partners look forward to participating in this historic “virtual” event, as well as next year’s in-person event in April 2021.
Ecover Global is committed to not only revolutionizing patient communication, but also empowering medical research efforts, student development and community collaboration. The AHA’s focus on medical research aligns with this mission. EcoverGlobal’ overall goal is to impact the healthcare industry and community in a meaningful way for years to come.
