Ecover Global has been moving and developing at an extremely fast pace. The company has rolled out a total of four new products in the first year of business. This level of speed and efficiency comes from team members with experience building and scaling businesses and the connections they bring to the table. One such key team member is Ecover Global’s President and CTO Ryan Budden.
Ryan exemplifies what it is to be a serial entrepreneur, having scaled companies in the tech, transportation, consulting, and event industries. Now, he’s focusing his attention and connections on disrupting the healthcare communication industry with his work with Ecover Global.
Ryan specializes in a customer-centric, rapid iteration approach. He builds tech that adapts to client needs in days instead of months. He has personally taken five businesses from idea to profitability, all by the age of 27. He has also consulted with dozens of other businesses and mentored hundreds of other entrepreneurs in every area of business creation.
Ryan’s first venture, GreekCheck, virtually tracked attendance and streamlined top-down communication for Greek chapters and national/international organizations. The platform scaled to 2,500 daily users and changed the risk management outlook for national organizations. It gave organizations a fresh look at how tech could change their day-to-day operations while reducing risk. Ryan was the keynote speaker, presenting on this topic, at the 2016 Greeklife National Summit.
Best of Nashville
Ryan then took the same customer-centric, rapid iteration approach into the concierge/event coordination space. He grew an innovative concierge business into four cities that has hosted over 300 events to date. Through vertical integration, Ryan’s business won the “Best of Nashville” award in two different categories: Event Planner and Equipment Rental.
Business is Personal
Ryan is based in Nashville, Tennessee; therefore, he works remotely with Ecover team members. In order to stay in touch, Ryan personally calls every Ecover employee each Friday to check in with them. He wants to make sure to connect on both a personal and a business level. Ecover team members love this very human touch amidst a tech-focused backdrop. He also hosts a CTO Connect call each Thursday where he shares what he and his development team have been working on. This degree of bilateral communication helps the Ecover team stay connected and focused on rapid development and rollout.
Ryan is a graduate of Elon University, where he earned a degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. He is a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and has completed training in HIPAA Security, HIPAA Awareness for Business Associates, and HIPAA Awareness for Health Care Providers.
